I've been thinking a lot about Kim Rodomista, and wondering where she took off to!

I'm reading a great book right now, "Show & Tell, exploring the fine art of children's book illustration" by Dilys Evans. It's great. Inspiring. It's all about how different illustrators began, what their passions are, how they have progressed. Absolutely love it.

How will I begin? Actually i have, with the creation of "101 cool pool games" by Kim Rodomista, so I guess the real question is how will I progress? And what really IS my passion?

Recently I've been attracted to a couple of children's book illustrators. Specifically Colin Thompson, and Timothy Basil Ering. Colin Thompson's "The Big Little Book of Happy Sadness" is an incredible book in content as well as illustration. I can search each page over and over again.
Timothy Basil Ering's "The Story of Frog Belly Rat Bone" and more recently his "Necks Out for Adventure: The True Story of Edwin Wiggleskin" also trap me inside their pages. I aspire to their greatness, but find myself confined to a more realistic approach. This type of illustration is exciting and fresh. So far my attempts have been balled up and tossed...baseball anyone?

Frog Gone!

So i should probably get rid of the Frog! i just put it there while i got things in order. It's cute, but it takes up a lot of space...what do you think? Does the frog stay or does the frog go?

i have aspirations.

i wish i had many more lives to go about all the things i wish to do.

all the ideas inside that want to explode on to the page crowd out my sensibility.

i wear many hats and follow many paths. Perhaps one day they will converge.
